Next, I know I am not the most serious person, but when it comes to important and unfortunate events, such as what happened in my state yesterday, I can be.
Basically, as a quick summary, Boston was bombed by what seems to have been bombs inside pressure cookers inside of backpacks, which were left at the finish line and half a block away from there. In the end, three were killed, including two adults and one 8 year old child. He was a peace promoting boy, native to Dorchester. Even more unfortunate, his sister and mother are also hospitalized from serious injuries. Over 170 people were injured and brought to area hospitals, including 17 in critical condition, many amputees, and some still waiting to have multiple surgeries. Locally, a man from the town next to mine had his legs blown off below the knee. Although I do not know him personally I know many people who do.
Yesterday, I knew of many people and families that I am friends with would be in Boston. Luckily, people I knew that were near where it happened, left just before, and others, were only close enough to hear the explosions. I am very thankful and gracious that they are safe.
I'm sorry I am ending the post on such a sad note, but I wanted you all to know what happened, and to keep praying for those involved, but give people time and space to simultaneously grieve and recover.
Thanks for reading, and I'm again, I'm glad to be back.
xoxo
Morgan
